Prepare For Father’s Day

By: kimayashoppe

Needless to mention, your successful father needs special attention on this day! It’s approaching! June 18th, is THE day…Are you prepared? No doubt, Dad has gotten plenty of gifts over the years: shirt, ties, cufflinks, ashtrays, and who knows! Maybe even golf ball. When will he get the stuff, he wants!  Whatever he is into sports, business, army, painter, teacher, a down to earth emotional guy, ideas are PLENTY!

FATHER’S DAY originated by a lady called Sonora Smart Dodd. Her upbringing was by a single parent father to whom she wanted to give due recognition and originally wanted to have the date set at June 5th each year, which was his death anniversary.  However due to her inability to give enough time to the event organizers to plan this, the date was moved ahead to 3rd Sunday in June. The First Father's Day was celebrated on June 19th, 1910.  It became a national holiday when President Lyndon B. Johnson declared it as a national holiday in 1966.

By now, after reading this, you must have given a good thought to what to buy as a GIFT! Let me help you!! Here are just a few ways you can help your father celebrate his special day!

1. Personalize your gifts:  IT will always be well received! If you want to give your dad a personalized gifts for Father's Day, it will most likely be a keepsake that he'll treasure forever! Engraved and personalized to his own liking, Dad will be sure to respond to it! We found a website that provides this service. It's called Name Your Things and it's got everything from monogrammed golf balls to engraved stop watches to wallets, frames, custom sports memorabilia, and more! Dad will surely make you his new favorite!

2. Don’t have money? Full of ideas, good thoughts and want to do something for your DAD… This day isn't about how much money you spend on your DAD. The thought behind your action is very important, isn’t it. If you're a poor college student with limited funds, do a favor for Dad! Mow the lawn, paint the shed, and wash the car. Anything that your father would normally do, take that chore off his hands and do it for him! He will appreciate you! (but don't forget to at least get him a card!) 3. Forgot TIME!!!!  Most important Guys…Your father might have everything, but he wants to spend some time with you. Give him your time! And spend a day with him, take him out to a movie, go fishing, play miniature golf, or just sit and chat! Your father will be so glad to see you taking the time out of your life to dedicate to him. It will mean a lot!

So remember Dad on June 18th and come up with something special for your Father’s Day Gift Ideas!
