Leonard Jacobson

In 1981 Leonard Jacobson experienced a spiritual awakening that opened a state of consciousness that focused on the present – the now - and guided him into his new journey as a spiritual teacher. Leonard Jacobson’s awakening and enlightenment led not only to a state of utter peace but to an almost mystic ability to deliver others into this state. Over the past twenty-five years, Leonard Jacobson has created the Conscious Living Foundation, taught numerous seminars and workshops, and written books that make his spiritual teachings available throughout the world.

Leonard Jacobson’s spiritual teachings focus on the need to live fundamentally established in the present. Leonard Jacobson teaches us to follow a two-step dance to awakening The first step is to be present with that which is already present. If we can see a flower or tree or hear a bird singing, we can be present with that, Being present is instant and requires no practice. The key to awakening is remaining present and that can be challenging for many of us since our mind ego is very accomplished at pulling us out of the present. So the second step is bringing awareness to how our mind pulls back into the the world of the thoughts and past emotions. In his teachings Leonard Jacobson focuses on how our past shapes our experience of life. As we release the past we deepen into the present moment of now. From a deepening state of presence we become increasingly aware of the dysfunctional strategies that we have learned for living in the world. Following the two-step dance we become grounded in the present moment which transforms our experience of life. Leonard Jacobson is adamant in his teachings that being present, where the truth of life exists, must become the first priority in your life. He further states that living grounded in the present moment of now allows us to open to the love that surrounds us, to recognize the plenty we have when worries about acquiring more are gone, and to relax into the peace promised by every major religious figure.

The spiritual teachings of Leonard Jacobson focus on the keys that must be addressed by the individual seeking enlightenment. By opening into presence the individual can bring unconditional, loving acceptance to the mind ego and to become aware of what it is up to. Leonard Jacobson urges each individual to be honest about their past and own who they have become over time. From presence we can see how involved we are in judgment and bring our judgments to consciousness. Leonard Jacobson shows us how to feel our feelings and not to get involved in the story behind these feelings. This allows the truth of who we really are to reveal itself leading to a state of total inner calm and quiet. Leonard Jacobson has demonstrated that he can show his students the keys to opening to presence directly and they can then return to this state without his assistance. Thus has true awakening begun and we become aware of our purpose in life.

Jacobson further teaches that our purpose in this life is simply to be here. By deepening into the moment of now, and bringing more and more consciousness to our mind’s strategies, we can each complete our own unique journey. Leonard Jacobson’s teachings confirm that the events in our lives will make complete sense; these events providing the lessons needed to support our awakening. We can then review our past life experiences without allowing those to distort or poison our present experience of life lived in the moment of now.

Most importantly to the spiritual teachings of Leonard Jacobson, awakening and enlightenment to the consciousness of the present moment of now will allow us to realize that there are universal rules for life. As we learn to live increasingly in line with these rules, our lives will transform and be fulfilled in love, peace, and plenty.
