By: Roy Cuddihy

Creating graphics for websites or for printed work may seem like a daunting task for most people but little do they realise that it is not that difficult to create eye catching effects that will transform their website and indeed their printed work.

Most computers these days already have editing software pre installed and Adobe Photoshop is amoungst the most popular and widely used and has great tools installed to make creating your own graphics a breeze.

If you have never created your own grapic before then its mostly just a case of pointing and clicking your mouse and you only need to get used to the following three basic things to create good looking graphics.

1: Formatting the text

2: Deciding on the best font

3: What Layer Style you want

Dont worry yourself at this point if you have never used any of the above before as it is quite simple. Here is an example of how to easily create a great looking header for any website.

1: Open up Adobe Photoshop

2: Click on new page

3: write a line of text {anything will do}

4: Place mouse over text and highlight it and then click on "font" and choose anything you like.

5: click on "layers" in the menu bar and choose something that you like.

6: Highlight text {last time now} and then simply resize to what you want.

How easy was that? there is obviously a lot more that can be done to further enhance your work like adding more layers to your text giving even more different combinations.

As you can see there are no complicated skills involved and over time you will be able to create any number of killer graphics for your website.
